DESCRIPTION:As part of the conference\, the following contribution will be 
 delivered by the Dutch national pilot:
 Session:&nbsp\;Supporting the res
 earch data management workflow from start to finish through RAiD
 Abstrac
 t:&nbsp\;The Dutch National pilot within the OSTrails project explores how
  machine actionable data management plans (maDMPs) can support researchers
  and research institutions in keeping knowledge connected. The work in the
  pilot is covering two broad aspects: (1) the affordances of machine actio
 nability in research data management and (2) the contextualisation of digi
 tal objects within the research ecosystem through linking various PIDs. In
  this short presentation we will focus on three of the six deliverables in
  the pilot:
 
 
 PID-ifying DMP templates
 Interoperating machine acti
 onable DMPs via RAiD
 Extending scientific knowledge graph with DMPsDMPs 
 play a multifaceted role in the research process\, one of them being a pla
 ce where project information is captured during the planning phase of rese
 arch. Through the integration of RAiD in this early phase we ensure that P
 IDs are captured early on\, so that an open and up-to-date record of the p
 roject is findable and accessible. Candidate PIDs in this workflow are Gra
 ntIDs for funding\, ORCIDs for project members\, but also DOIs of datasets
  that are being reused in the project. In addition\, the DMP itself can be
  included in the RAiD record so that it remains discoverable throughout an
 d after the project. This approach is built on the logic that research inf
 ormation (including PIDs) should flow naturally as a by-product of researc
 h\, not as an administrative afterthought. It draws inspiration from the&n
 bsp\;concept behind the RAiD identifier service\, where research context i
 s enriched through linking different PIDs dynamically over time rather tha
 n recorded only at the end of a project\, or when reporting is required.In
  this short presentation we demonstrate this workflow using a prototype an
 d discuss the challenges that we foresee for institutions wanting to imple
 ment maDMPs and RAiD.
