Portuguese National Pilot

Overview

What it is
The Portuguese National Pilot aims to strengthen research data management and FAIR implementation in Portugal by developing interoperable solutions for Data Management Planning and research data assessment. The pilot supports the alignment of national research infrastructures, repositories and funder requirements.
Plan-Track-Assess adoption
The Portuguese National Pilot contributes to the three OSTrails pathways by developing machine-actionable Data Management Plan (maDMP) models and supporting their integration with existing DMP services, national research infrastructures and funder requirements (Plan). It builds on existing connections between institutional repositories and the OpenAIRE Graph, while exploring future interoperability with research information systems (Track). The pilot also contributes to defining DMP evaluation criteria and FAIR assessment metrics, and testing the FAIRness of digital objects deposited in the University of Minho's DataRepositóriUM and FCT's POLEN DataHub repositories (Assess).
