Project Duration

OSTrails is a 36-month project running from 1 February 2024 to 31 January 2027. It is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme for research infrastructures (INFRA-2023-EOSC-01) and operates under Grant Agreement No. 101130187.

Work Package Structure

WP1

Co-develops the Plan-Track-Assess OSTrails Interoperability Reference Architecture and guides all developments in the project.

WP2

Implements the federation within EOSC by aligning existing popular DMP platforms, SKGs and FAIR Assessment tools preparing them to support the pilots (WP4) and subsequently to be released in EOSC for a wide use.

WP3

Implements the assessment framework by co-developing FAIR tests with experts and communities, and evaluating them in diverse pilot settings. Work in this WP will Aalso develops methods and tools for DMP assessment and explores user-centred approaches to improve SKG quality for broader research evaluation.

WP4

Oversees the national and thematic pilots from requirements to implementation and validation, continuously providing feedback towards technical Work Packages (1-3).

WP5

Supports dissemination, stakeholder engagement, researcher involvement, and project training activities.

WP6

Focuses on project management, to ensureing smooth execution and timely results, while identifying early exploitation paths and supporting governance for FAIR metrics and EOSC compliance.
